Corel Draw Course
I am based in Randburg and offer this course as 1 on 1 or small groups, which are available from my premises in Randburg, or I can come to you if you are with a 20km radius from me.
Course sessions with myself are generally about 2 hours, up to twice a week, and require 5-8 sessions to complete this course.
By the time you gave completed at least 6 sessions, you will be able to design logos, create business cards and stationary, set forms, create layouts, menus, and even complex vector illustrations.
Many of my past clients have been students, individuals, and businesses looking to expand their skills to assist with their current studies, start a career in graphic design, or learn to operate digital printing and engraving equipment efficiently.
I am fully knowledgeable in all kinds of digital printing systems, cutters, and engraving machines and spent many years operating these myself, and I understand how many people are tempted to purchase such equipment to start a new business or expand an existing one, but the one thing that’s often not considered or underestimated, is the extent to which you understand the graphic software. You can quote on these words,
“your print will only ever be as good as your artwork”.
So by realizing that investing in digital printing equipment is not all you will be investing in, you should take the same care in ensuring that you get the skills needed to make this business a success and ensure that your quality is not just reliant on having the biggest and machine machinery, but the best skills, and I can assure you that by taking this course, you don’t even need the top of the range printing machine, as with my training, you will understand the techniques, tricks, and cheats needed that hardly anybody will notice the difference a middle of pack machine next to a competitor’s the top of the range print.

My late father was one of the first T-shirt printers in Johannesburg, over 50 years ago. He owned King Rat Features. From a small child, I grew up in the printing industry and I started working with my father part-time while at school doing graphics and repro, and then full time thereafter. I have since worked closely with printers such as Studio Silkscreen, Stancor Design & print, ElegantFoil & Print, Smartcall, Collage Litho, Polyprint, Studio 5, and many other reputable printers and agencies at the time doing design, repro, and colour separations.
I was also one of the first to do Index and Simulated process separations properly in South Africa, after wasting a lot of time and money on programs such as Fast Films and other such Photoshop plug-ins that were rendered useless. This caught the interest of the chain stored such as Edgars and more, as it was finally available in SA to do the same print quality as imported goods. My system worked pretty much all of the time, improved over time, and can be applied to any graphic, and with any reasonable amount of colours.
